GPTMail is now available as a Chrome extension. It brings the parts of a temporary inbox that matter during a signup or test workflow closer to the page where you need them.
Install the GPTMail Chrome extension
What the extension can do
The extension is designed for short, practical email tasks:
- Generate a random GPTMail address from the browser toolbar.
- Create an address with a custom prefix and choose from available domains.
- Keep recently used addresses within easy reach.
- Check the inbox and see when new messages arrive.
- Search the current inbox and open the complete message on GPTMail.
- Optionally show a suggestion beside email fields so the current temporary address can be filled with one click.
- Optionally display desktop notifications for new mail.
The full web inbox remains available whenever you need the complete message, attachments, verification links, or the rest of the GPTMail tools.
Getting started
- Open the extension listing in the Chrome Web Store.
- Select Add to Chrome and confirm the installation.
- Pin GPTMail to the toolbar if you want it to remain visible.
- Open the extension and create a random address, or choose a prefix and domain.
- Use the address on the current website and check the extension for new mail.
Automatic email-field suggestions and desktop notifications are optional. They can be enabled or disabled independently in the extension settings.
A faster verification workflow
A common temporary-email workflow used to involve several tab changes: open GPTMail, create an address, return to the signup page, submit the form, switch back to the inbox, and wait for the message. The extension shortens that path without replacing the website.
This is particularly useful when you are:
- receiving a one-time verification code;
- testing a signup, password-reset, invitation, or email-change flow;
- keeping a trial or download away from a permanent personal inbox;
- checking how a website handles email delivery.
The inbox is still temporary. Do not use it as the recovery address for banking, purchases you may need to dispute, important accounts, or anything that must remain accessible long term. The GPTMail help center explains the available inbox options, and the terms and privacy page describes the service boundaries.
You stay in control
The extension keeps optional features separate. Email-field suggestions only operate when enabled, notifications require their own permission, and full message reading continues on the GPTMail website. You can change the active address, disable optional features, or remove the extension at any time through Chrome.
The first release is now live. Feedback about installation, address generation, inbox refresh, and website compatibility is welcome as we continue improving it.
